The trustee's custodial role is that of a financial secretary and security guard. The trustee, as custodian, must identify and then take title to the trust's assets, keep accurate records, report to the current beneficiaries, and execute and settle all transactions. The trustee oversees the preparation of all of the trust accounting in compliance with complex state and federal laws.
The Private Trust Company offers the following custodial services:
- Assembly and safe custody all of the trust's assets.
- Beneficiaries and other parties in interest receive market valued inventories and regular statements of all transactions occurring in the account.
- Transactions are accounted for separately, to identify ownership interests of present and future beneficiaries.
